VIC: TV stars recognised at awards night
The ABC's GEOFF THOMPSON won the Most Outstanding News Reporter award and told howa cameraman and three fellow journalists were shot dead by Afghani soldiers while he wasreporting in the area.
Mr THOMPSON paid tribute to HARRY BURTON, an Australian television cameraman workingfor Reuters, who was killed in the conflict in Afghanistan.
He thanked Mr BURTON for his tragically short stint in Afghanistan and the work he'ddone across South East Asia in the past three years.
